As We See It: Ojai Studio Artists
August 20 through October 12
Free Exhibition Reception on Friday, August 21 from 5 - 7 pm.
The definition of vision is the physical sense of sight. It is the ability of the eyes and brain to turn what we see into images.
Each of the sixty-seven artists in this exhibition see and interpret the world around them in their own distinctive way. Together, the works reflect a broad range of perspectives, materials, and processes. Many artists are sharing work from an ongoing series, exploring new mediums, materials, or new ways of looking at familiar subjects.
Ojai’s biggest art weekend of the year is the annual Ojai Studio Artists Open Studio Tour, held on the second weekend in October. The Tour invites visitors into studios throughout the Valley, offering a rare opportunity to see where and how the artists work. This is a preview of the work you will encounter throughout the Valley during the Tour.
Ticket sales support Ojai Studio Artists’ work in our community, including awards and mentorships for Valley students.
Artwork in this exhibition is available for purchase. Sales directly benefit the artists and support the Museum’s exhibitions and educational programs.
