We are working with the City of Ojai’s Historic Preservation Commission to bring you signage along the former railroad route from Ventura to Ojai. A rails-to-trails project, you can walk or bike from Ojai to Ventura on the path.

Watch for the first four signs to be installed by Ojai Day in October. Additional information will be available here.

History of the Ventura and Ojai Valley Railroad

The first train from Ventura arrived in the Ojai Valley on March 12, 1898. The Ojai Band was there to greet it.
