Women of the Valley:

100 Years of Ojai History

Jan 15 - Apr 5

Exhibit reception during 3rd Friday, January 16, 5 - 7 pm

Women’s history is a weaving of what was written, what was spoken, and what is remembered.

The Ojai Valley has been home to some of the most important women of the 19th and 20th centuries, who not only shaped the quirky culture of this rural designated town, but made a mark on both Southern California and American history. This Valley is also home to extra-ordinary women, who have given their valuable time, energy, and wisdom to this community as neighbors, friends, mothers, workers, business owners, and volunteers, who sustain the fabric of everyday life here.

Women of the Valley: 100 Years of Ojai History, is the largest effort undertaken to date to bring together and quantify the essential role women have played in the making of this special place.

Town Talks in conjunction with this exhibition are scheduled for February 1, February 22, and March 15. Find out more about each Town Talk here.
