Spark Taylor
Watching and Waiting
2020
Oil on linen panel
12 x 12 in.
$575 (SOLD)
I paint in the meadow most days. The people who walk there in the early morning or late afternoon are quiet—having their own thoughts. Someone might give me a nod or a little wave.
A young father carrying a tiny baby walks there early every day, before the sun is quite up. The air smells of sage and eucalyptus, and is filled with the quiet sounds of bees and birdsong. We agree that this walk must be such a sweet start for the baby. I wish them well.
